Google's March Pixel Drop Brings Gemini Live Upgrades, Scam Detection, and More
Google rolled out the March Pixel Drop for compatible Pixel devices, marking the first Pixel Drop of the year with several new features. One of the key upgrades is to Gemini Live, the conversational AI tool, which now supports over 45 languages. This feature allows users to interact with Gemini Live in different languages effortlessly.
New Features in the March Pixel Drop
The update brings a new Suggestions feature in the Pixel Screenshots app, providing users with recommendations on screenshots to add to their collection. Additionally, there are enhancements to Pixel Studio, Pixel AI weather reports, Pixel Recorder, and Satellite SOS.
In a blog post, Google highlighted the exclusive features arriving on Pixel devices through the March Pixel Drop. Gemini Live now offers enhanced conversation capabilities with expanded language support and multimodal functionalities on Pixel 6 and newer devices. 
Users can now enrich their searches by adding images, files, and YouTube videos through Gemini Live. In the future, Google plans to enable live video conversations with Gemini Live through Gemini Advanced.
Other Updates
Pixel Screenshots app now supports work profiles, allowing users to create unique images using Pixel Studio. Connected Cameras feature enables users to stream from multiple angles using different cameras connected to their Pixel device.
The update extends the availability of Pixel Screenshots, Pixel Studio, Pixel AI weather reports, and Pollen tracker to Japan and Germany. Japanese speakers can access AI-powered summaries in the Recorder app.
Scam Detection in Messages helps identify and flag potential scams in real-time. Satellite SOS is now available in Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, and Canada for emergencies in the absence of cellular or Wi-Fi networks.
Additional Enhancements
Pixel users can now share their live location with family and friends using the Find My Device network. The Dual Screen Preview feature on Pixel Fold supports video recording, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold users can utilize Add Me with Dual Screen Preview. 
Google's Loss of Pulse Detection feature, cleared by the FDA, will be rolling out to users soon. This feature can detect a lack of pulse and automatically contact emergency services. Pixel Watch 3 now includes on-device menstrual tracking and more precise step tracking.
