Netflix is Discontinuing its Cheapest Ad-free Plan
Netflix has announced its decision to discontinue its cheapest ad-free plan for existing subscribers, starting with the UK and Canada. Subscribers currently on the $11.99 basic ad-free plan will now have to choose between a $6.99 ad-supported plan or a $15.49 ad-free plan to maintain their Netflix subscription. The streaming giant had already halted new sign-ups for the basic plan back in January, signaling its eventual phase-out.
