Recent Outage: ChatGPT Experiences Downtime Again
Almost two weeks post a significant outage, ChatGPT has once again been reported as down. This marks the second consecutive downtime for one of the leading artificial intelligence services, signaling a concerning trend of internet platforms encountering more frequent malfunctions.
Reports suggest that the latest disruption lasted a relatively short three hours, as confirmed by sources like Tech Radar. However, the underlying cause of this outage remains unidentified, with neither OpenAI nor any external monitoring organization pinpointing the exact root of the problem.

According to DownDetector, a service that tracks outages, complaints regarding the brief disruption started pouring in around 2:00 PM ET on June 17, 2024. In response to the escalating reports, OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, acknowledged the issue at 2:39 PM ET.
Subsequently, OpenAI's status page was updated to reflect ongoing investigations into the "elevated error rates" affecting their AI service.
