WhatsApp May Receive AI More Image-Generation Features for its Android App
WhatsApp is reportedly in line to receive additional AI image-generation features for its Android app as Meta, its parent company, continues to drive AI innovations across its social platforms. The updates were first brought to light by WABetaInfo in a Google Play beta version of the app.
New Customized Image-Sending Capabilities
WhatsApp is currently experimenting with new features that will empower users to share more personalized images via Meta AI. These new AI capabilities are anticipated to enable users to edit images directly within the chat interface through intuitive prompts, provide context or identify objects in images, and make real-time adjustments to photos.
Parallels with Instagram's Features
The introduction of these AI-powered features bears resemblance to the recent photo editing functionalities Meta introduced on Instagram, allowing users to alter backgrounds of photos within the app.
