Introducing the 'Early Version' of ChatGPT Windows App
OpenAI has recently unveiled a new ChatGPT Windows desktop app, following the successful release of the macOS version earlier. The Windows app is now available on Microsoft's app store here. This app is compatible with PCs running Windows 10 (x64 and arm64) version 17763.0 or higher.
Features of the Windows App
Users can easily launch the ChatGPT window on their desktops by simply pressing Alt + Space. This enables them to engage in text conversations, request image creations, and even share files seamlessly. The app provides access to OpenAI's latest AI models, including the o1 "reasoning" models that are currently in preview.

Availability and Limitations
It's essential to note that the Windows desktop app is currently in its "early version" stage and may not offer the full set of features available in the macOS and web versions. Additionally, access to the Windows app is limited to users subscribed to the Plus, Team, Edu, or Enterprise plans of ChatGPT. OpenAI has mentioned its intention to broaden access to all ChatGPT users by the end of the year. Voice Mode and integration with Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive are not yet supported in this early release but are expected to be included in the complete version.
