OpenAI's Response

On the same day at 9:22 a.m., OpenAI, the parent company of ChatGPT, publicly acknowledged the outages. They mentioned observing "elevated error rates and latency across ChatGPT and the API" and assured users that their engineering team had identified the root cause and was actively working to resolve the issue promptly. According to updates on the OpenAI platform, the outages had persisted for up to eight hours.
