The Collaboration
This 9-minute video (produced by Coppola's Zoetrope Studio) announces a significant collaboration between Jony Ive and Open AI.
Throughout Jony offers quite a significant testimonial of Sam Altman - to the point it's opened my mind about him again. "Our motivations and values are completely the same." Not what I would expect him to say.
Jony and his LoveFrom will be taking over creative design across OpenAI. And his hardware startup, IO, will merge with OpenAI, to create a family of devices that will let people use AI to create all sorts of wonderful things." - Altman
"The first one we've been working on has completely our imagination." - Ive
"This is the best work we've ever done." Woah.
I've followed Jony since his early days at Apple. He's not one to use hyperbole. Watch this space.
