Components of UNO's AI Learning Lab

The AI Learning Lab at UNO will consist of four main components:

  1. Open AI Challenge: UNO will be issuing an RFP for up to 1000 faculty, staff, and departments to access Open AI for specific use-cases. These may involve areas such as teaching, operational efficiency, research, and more. The RFP is set to open in mid-June with submissions due by late August. 2. Support for the UNO Community: The lab will offer faculty development workshops, course development grants, and microcredentials to enhance AI literacy on campus. These resources aim to prepare learners for the integration of AI in their future careers.
  3. UNO AI Learning Lab Summit: In Spring 2025, UNO will host its first AI Learning Lab Summit, bringing together campus stakeholders and experts to share insights and best practices in the field of AI.
  4. UNO Campus AI Consortium: This group will comprise key stakeholders from various units to provide guidance on AI-related matters and ensure the campus is well-positioned for success amidst the rapid advancements in AI technology.
