Meta AI debuts on WhatsApp in Brazil with reply and image creation features

Users who are part of the testing program can now interact with the AI in three different ways: through the search bar, a special icon, or directly from the conversation history. However, it's important to note that this functionality is currently only available on the mobile app and has not yet been integrated into the web version.
The responses and creations generated by the AI are stored within the conversation with Meta AI, making it convenient for users to revisit their interactions and provide new commands. The app ensures that the AI does not access other conversations in the user's account, but the data exchanged with the chatbot may be used to enhance the AI training.

Although other countries have been utilizing Meta AI since July, Brazil initially faced delays due to a conflict between Meta and the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), concerning the use of user data for AI training. However, after the ANPD eased restrictions at the end of August, the path was cleared for Meta AI to launch in Brazil.
