The new feature, known as AI Chat, is available for free with a daily limit and can be disabled if needed. Additionally, DuckDuckGo plans to introduce a premium tier in the future, offering increased daily usage limits and access to additional AI models.

The unique aspect of these interactions is that they are completely anonymous, with no tracing back to individual users. All chat requests appear to originate from DuckDuckGo rather than the user.
Similar to DuckDuckGo's standard search functionality, users can utilize the fire button to clear the previous chat session. DuckDuckGo adheres to a strict privacy policy, ensuring that no chats are saved or stored. They have collaborated with AI companies to delete all chat data within 30 days. Furthermore, the AI chat interactions do not contribute to the training or enhancement of AI models used by these companies.
