Intel collaboration with International Olympic Committee and GenAI RAG Solution
Intel recently announced a collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and introduced a GenAI retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solution, showcasing their use of Gaudi AI accelerators and Xeon processors. This partnership highlights Intel's commitment to accessible and customizable AI systems, empowering both GenAI developers and athletes to tackle AI challenges.
Empowering Athletes with Athlete365 Chatbot
Athlete365, a chatbot developed by Intel in collaboration with the IOC, is designed to assist Olympic athletes. This AI solution powered by Intel Gaudi accelerators and Xeon processors helps around 11,000 athletes from diverse backgrounds navigate Olympic venues, understand rules, and access important information. Athlete365 enables athletes to focus on training and competition by providing real-time support during their stay at the Olympic Village.
Challenges and Solutions with GenAI Deployment
Deploying GenAI solutions comes with various challenges such as cost, scale, accuracy, and security. The RAG solution plays a critical role in securely leveraging proprietary data to enhance AI outputs' timeliness and reliability. Intel's collaborative ecosystem allows developers to create customized GenAI RAG solutions tailored to specific enterprise requirements, emphasizing the importance of open AI platforms and standards.
GenAI RAG Solution Architecture
Intel, in partnership with industry collaborators, has developed a GenAI RAG solution architecture that offers a streamlined approach to deploying RAG solutions in data centers. This solution, built on the Open Platform for Enterprise AI (OPEA) foundation, integrates microservice components for scalable deployment on Xeon and Gaudi AI systems. With Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift integration, the GenAI turnkey solution ensures flexibility and security in AI deployments.
Advancing AI with Industry Partners
Intel's commitment to advancing AI technology is evident through collaborations with industry leaders like Google, IBM, and others in the Coalition for Secure AI (CoSAI). By prioritizing trust and security in AI development, Intel aims to drive innovation and create new opportunities for AI services driven by GenAI and RAG solutions.
Upcoming Intel Innovation Event
Intel will showcase its ongoing customer and partner momentum in AI systems at the upcoming Intel Innovation event on September 24-25, continuing to demonstrate its unique approach to AI technology.
