Here's one of my favourite AI Case Studies.
And it only happened last Sunday.
I was invited to a lunch party by a group of friends and people I volunteer with.
We sat outside in the sun. Drinking, eating, laughing, and catching up.
One of my friends looked stressed. There was something behind her eyes despite the smiling.
I asked her if everything was alright.
She paused. She told me she was having a few struggles with her autistic son. A few things she was learning and getting used to.
She smiled but I could see the strain.
We talked back and forth. I wanted to understand her better. See if I could help.
It was illuminating.
There was a brief lull in the conversation before she said "Even food is something to consider. It has to be the right texture and finding recipes is a nightmare."
My ears perked up.
I could help here.
I told her about ChatGPT. How it can help with recipes.
She looked at me a little dumbfounded, and obviously, skeptically.
"No, how?"
I shuffled myself next to her. Pulled out my phone. Loaded up the ChatGPT app and showed her.
Gave it a simple entry level prompt with a little context.
And it started generating results.
Instantly.
Labelling out ideal food types. Tips. Ways to make the food palatable.
She was already amazed.
But then I followed it up with more detail.
Asking for Indian specific recipes. Which weren't spicy. Also factoring in his nut allergy.
Her eyes lit up. A world of possibilities.
She was nearly close to tears.
She told me after I showed her that she was spending hours looking for new recipes that her family could eat and enjoy together.
That the same meals over and over again were taking a toll.
And now? She's found a way to generate unique recipes instantly.
No more hours wasted and more time with her family.
All thanks to AI.
