bot battle | e-Discovery Team
In Part One of this series, I conducted a rigorous test of six advanced bots on the February 2024 Florida Bar Exam, using real exam questions and instructions. The latest AI reasoning models from OpenAI and Google were put to the test. The winner, ChatGPT 4o, also known as Omni, emerged victorious. Part Two delved deeper into Omni's performance, analyzing its successes and shortcomings based on my experience as a trial lawyer and AI tech specialist.
In Part Three, a new contender, ChatGPT 4.5 (Orion), challenged the reigning champ, Omni, in a battle that resulted in Orion dethroning Omni as the new legal bot champion. Now, the spotlight shifts to the freshly released ChatGPT o3. Will this new bot be able to compete with Orion's prowess?
ChatGPT o3: The Rising Star
In Part Four focuses on ChatGPT o3, the latest AI model from OpenAI. This bot faces the challenging Florida Bar Exam essay about a problematic diamond sale. With its release just a month ago, the question remains - can ChatGPT o3 outperform its predecessor, GPTo3-mini, and potentially even surpass Omni's winning grade?

If ChatGPT o3 manages to surpass Omni, it could earn a title shot against the current champion, Orion. The rivalry between these advanced bots continues to escalate, with each new iteration pushing the boundaries of AI capabilities.
Scorpio: The New Contender
I am personally intrigued by the potential of ChatGPT o3, which I have fondly nicknamed Scorpio. As the bot engages in the Bar Exam battle, the stakes are high. Will Scorpio be able to outshine its competitors and secure a place among the elite legal bots?
As the competition heats up, only time will tell if Scorpio can upset the current hierarchy and pave the way for a new era of AI excellence. Stay tuned for the next chapter in the ongoing saga of the battle of the bots.
