The Risks of Tesla's Full Self-Driving AI: Are You Prepared?

If You Think ChatGPT is Scary, You Haven't Experienced Tesla's Full Self-Driving AI

Recently, a letter was written calling for a pause on “giant AI experiments”, and Elon Musk endorsed this. However, Musk seems to be forging ahead with his own quest to conquer the automotive world with Tesla’s full self-driving (FSD) AI.

Musk has claimed that FSD is the leading AI technology for years and has tasked Tesla’s full self-driving AI with driving a car anywhere, anytime, ten times better than a human driver. However, some people endorsing the petition are alarmed by the dangers posed by advanced AI, such as the recently released upgraded ChatGPT. It is important to note that ChatGPT is just an app for entertainment purposes, whereas Tesla’s full self-driving AI controls the steering wheel, brakes, and accelerator of 400,000 cars, and it is the only AI operational today with the power to kill millions.

Tesla’s FSD AI has the potential to cause significant damage as it could self-drive every FSD Tesla out of their parking spots to the nearest busy street, then accelerate to 100 mph and swerve into oncoming traffic without warning. In just ten minutes, millions could be dead, and every road would be impassable.

Elon Musk has repeatedly pushed out various versions of FSD with numerous critical safety defects to satisfy customers who were complaining about not having received anything for their money. FSD AI is deranged, and it frequently attempts to kill people by suddenly turning the steering wheel left and swerving into oncoming traffic without any apparent reason.

Currently, there is no other AI system anywhere near the magnitude of the potential effects of FSD AI, and all of Elon Musk’s confident predictions over the last nine years that FSD will be a better driver than an average person have never been realized. In addition, there are no independent reviews of FSD. Instead, it is always full steam ahead, and the company intends to fix it at a later date.

Musk has now acknowledged that FSD AI requires significantly more testing by independent outside experts, such as The Dawn Project. According to Musk’s own guidelines, Tesla should immediately halt development on FSD AI for at least six months until it can conclusively prove that it has implemented adequate standards to make FSD AI safe. If Tesla fails to implement this pause, NHTSA and the federal government must step in to remove this dangerous software from public roads.

The rules must apply to everyone, including Elon Musk, since he demands oversight of other AI projects. When it comes to FSD AI, especially since Tesla’s AI has the potential to kill and maim millions, Musk must follow the same rigorous rules.
