Additionally, Reliance is also contemplating offering OpenAI's models to its enterprise clients through an API, with a focus on hosting these models locally to ensure data localization.
Pricing Strategy
OpenAI has reportedly discussed the possibility of reducing the subscription price of ChatGPT from $20 per month to a more affordable rate, aiming to make the AI tool more accessible to users in India. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether this proposed price cut has been formally presented to Reliance. This potential strategy could significantly broaden the usage and reach of ChatGPT among Indian consumers.
Infrastructure Development
Reliance has ambitious plans to establish a massive 3GW data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which is anticipated to be the world's largest facility of its kind. The company envisions hosting and operating both Meta and OpenAI's AI models at this data center, with the goal of enhancing the efficiency of these models by utilizing state-of-the-art infrastructure resources.
