Participation in Semicon Taiwan 2024
SK Hynix recently announced its participation in 'Semicon Taiwan 2024', an event held in Taipei, Taiwan. This move further solidifies the triangular alliances between SK Hynix, TSMC, and Nvidia, showcasing the company's commitment to industry collaboration and innovation.

Advancements in HBM Technology
Lee Kang-wook, Vice President of packaging development at SK Hynix, highlighted the growth potential of AI servers for training and inference with the evolution of HBM technology. The semiconductor industry foresees a 27% annual growth in the Generative AI market from 2023 to 2032, with the HBM market experiencing significant expansion.
SK Hynix is gearing up to introduce a 12-layer product of HBM4, the sixth-generation HBM, next year. Additionally, the company plans to launch HBM4E, a seventh-generation product, emphasizing its customized features to meet diverse customer needs.
Technological Innovations and Ecosystem Development
In addition to advancing its hardware capabilities, SK Hynix is focusing on bolstering its software ecosystem. The company has applied to join the UXL Foundation, a collaborative initiative under Linux that includes prominent players such as Samsung Electronics, Intel, Qualcomm, and Google.
