Samsung Galaxy S25 series brings big updates to Galaxy AI: Here's what to expect
Samsung has recently unveiled its highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 series, consisting of three models: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Additionally, the company teased a slim variant, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, featuring a flat design and dual rear cameras. While details on the Edge are scarce, the base models start at Rs 80,999 and boast significant upgrades over their predecessors.
The Power of Galaxy AI
One of the most notable enhancements in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is the incorporation of Galaxy AI. This series marks the debut of Gemini as the default AI assistant, a feature previously exclusive to Google devices. Gemini's integration extends beyond popular apps like YouTube and Google Maps to Samsung's native applications such as Calendar, Notes, Reminder, and Clock. Users can leverage Gemini to streamline various tasks and receive personalized assistance.
Introducing Gemini Live
Gemini Live offers an immersive conversational experience by facilitating natural, image-rich interactions. Users can seamlessly integrate images, files, and YouTube videos into their chats. This upgraded version of Gemini Live is rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S24 and S25 series, along with Pixel 9 devices. Google's upcoming Project Astra features, including screen sharing and live video streaming, will further enhance the Gemini experience.
Enhanced Circle to Search
The Samsung Galaxy S25 builds upon the Circle to Search feature introduced in its predecessor, now automatically recognizing phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs for improved user interaction. AI Overviews accompanying search results support a broader range of visual queries, enhancing the functionality of Circle to Search.
Personalized Briefs
The Brief tool offers personalized daily summaries tailored to users' routines. From morning weather forecasts to commute navigation and evening recaps, Briefs keep users informed and organized throughout the day. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is now available for pre-order, with sales commencing on February 7, 2025, through various online and offline retailers as well as Samsung's official India website.
