HCLTech and OpenAI join forces to scale generative AI in enterprise

HCLTech has recently announced a multi-year strategic partnership with OpenAI, with the goal of advancing generative AI adoption on an enterprise scale across various sectors. This collaboration positions HCLTech as one of the initial global strategic services partners of OpenAI.

Partnership Details

Under the partnership agreement, HCLTech will leverage its AI Engineering capabilities in conjunction with OpenAI’s models and APIs to facilitate the widespread deployment of generative AI. The collaboration will encompass a broad spectrum of services, ranging from readiness assessments and integration to governance and change management.

In addition to assisting its clients, HCLTech plans to internally implement ChatGPT Enterprise and OpenAI APIs. This initiative aims to provide employees with secure, enterprise-grade generative AI tools to boost productivity and operational efficiency.

Furthermore, HCLTech intends to integrate OpenAI’s models into its suite of platforms, including AI Force, AI Foundry, AI Engineering, and a series of vertical-specific AI accelerators. These tools are designed to streamline business operations and enhance customer and employee experiences.

Vijay Guntur, the global chief technology officer and head of ecosystems at HCLTech, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the alignment between the company’s engineering focus and OpenAI’s dedication to innovation.

On the other hand, Giancarlo ‘GC’ Lionetti, chief commercial officer at OpenAI, commended HCLTech's industry knowledge and AI engineering expertise, highlighting the potential for scalable AI innovation through the partnership.
