Google is likely utilizing agentic AI for this capability. Agentic AI refers to AI systems that are goal-oriented and designed to perform complex tasks across various modalities. These systems can control specific computer tasks, drive autonomous vehicles and robots, and more. They can analyze the external environment using computer vision and perform actions like button presses and cursor movements.
The agentic AI developed by Google, known as Project Jarvis, is inspired by Marvel's J.A.R.V.I.S. (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System) AI assistant from the Iron Man movies. The technology is expected to be launched alongside the next flagship large language model (LLM) of Gemini.

Project Jarvis is designed to operate within web browsers and can perform tasks like purchasing products from e-commerce websites, booking tickets, filling out forms, and more.
