Google confirms Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro Fold design ahead of launch
Google is gearing up for its annual ‘Made by Google’ event scheduled for August 13, where it will unveil the latest models of its Pixel 9 series and make other hardware-related announcements. Leading up to the event, Google has officially revealed the design of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
In the images shared by Google, both phones sport a similar back layout with a horizontal pill-shaped camera setup, housing a triple camera system along with a flash. While the rear design is visible, the placement of the front camera on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold remains a mystery. As the launch date approaches, more rumors and specifications are expected to surface due to the nature of Google devices.
Prices and Variants
A recent report by French publication Dealabs disclosed the pricing details and color variants of the Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 9 will be available in Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Cosmo, and Mojito color options.
According to the leak, the base Pixel 9 model will start at €899 for the 128GB variant and €999 for the 256GB variant. Moving on to the Pixel 9 Pro, the prices are expected to begin at €1,099 for the 128GB version, €1,199 for the 256GB version, and €1,329 for the 512GB variant.
For the Pixel 9 Pro XL, the anticipated prices are €1,199 for the 128GB variant, €1,299 for the 256GB model, €1,429 for the 512GB variant, and €1,689 for the top-tier 1TB variant. The report also suggests that the highest configuration of the Pixel 9 Pro XL will only be available in the Obsidian color, while the 128GB and 512GB variants will come in Porcelain and Hazel finishes, and the 256GB variant will be exclusively offered in Pink.
On the other hand, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the successor to the previous year's Pixel Fold, is expected to be priced at €1,899 for the 256GB variant and €2,029 for the 512GB variant. It is speculated to be available only in Obsidian and Porcelain color finishes.
