OpenAI has confirmed that it has taken action against accounts associated with an Iranian group for misusing its ChatGPT chatbot to create content intended to influence the U.S. presidential election and other important issues. The operation, known as Storm-2035, utilized ChatGPT to produce content focusing on various topics such as analysis of the candidates from both sides of the U.S. elections, the conflict between Gaza and Israel, as well as Israel’s participation in the Olympic Games. This generated content was then disseminated through social media accounts and websites.
