Meta's Parent Meta Plans Massive Expansion of Agentic AI for Businesses
Meta is gearing up for a significant expansion of its AI solutions tailored for businesses. Meta Platforms (META) plans to expand its agentic AI tools for businesses.
Expanding Reach
In a recent CNBC interview, Clara Shih, Meta’s head of business AI, mentioned that Meta’s AI currently serves over 700 million customers. The company aims to extend its reach to "hundreds of millions" of businesses. Agentic AI enables systems to operate autonomously, make decisions, and perform tasks with minimal human intervention. As the industry trends towards increased automation, agentic AI has become a key focus area.
Reuters reported that Amazon (AMZN) has formed a new team dedicated to exploring agentic AI to drive growth in its cloud division, AWS. Salesforce (CRM) also recently introduced Agentforce 2dx, enhancing workflow integration with proactive agentic AI capabilities.

Support for Small Businesses
Meta's AI tools are already being utilized by 200 million small businesses globally through platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. These businesses rely on Meta’s services to engage customers and foster relationships. To address the lack of resources for building AI teams in small businesses, Meta is developing AI solutions tailored for them, enabling them to leverage the latest advancements without the need for in-house expertise.
Shih emphasized that AI will soon become essential for businesses of all sizes, akin to websites and email addresses today. With AI-driven business tools, Meta aims to empower smaller enterprises to compete more effectively in the digital sphere.
Advancements and Future Plans
According to the Financial Times, Meta is enhancing its latest open-source large language model, Llama 4, with advanced voice capabilities in the near future. The company is working on AI-powered agents to facilitate more natural, two-way conversations. Furthermore, Meta is exploring monetization avenues for its AI assistant, Meta AI, through premium subscriptions and advertising.

These initiatives underscore Meta's commitment to agentic AI and align with CEO Mark Zuckerberg's vision to establish the company as a frontrunner in AI.
On TipRanks, META stock has a consensus Strong Buy rating among 48 Wall Street analysts, comprising 44 Buys, three Holds, and one Sell in the last three months. The average META price target of $764.61 suggests a 21.7% upside from current levels.
