Social media giant Meta has made an exciting announcement regarding the launch of its AI model, Meta AI, across the MENA region. Meta, the parent company of popular platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and WhatsApp, is set to introduce Meta AI across all its products. This development means that users in countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, and Iraq can now access the new features.
Previously unavailable in the region, Meta's AI services are now accessible to users on various Meta platforms. To access the Meta AI, users can simply click on the blue circle icon on Meta apps or type @Meta AI in the chat box. This move is part of Meta's efforts to enhance user experience and offer cutting-edge AI technology to its diverse user base.
Arabic Language Support and Features
One significant aspect of the Meta AI launch in the MENA region is its availability in Arabic. This addition is expected to facilitate better adoption of the service in the region and provide a more personalized experience for Arabic-speaking users. Meta AI, based on the company's Llama model, offers various functionalities such as image generation, serving as a chatbot, and providing information on a wide range of topics.
Content Series and User Base
To further engage users and showcase the capabilities of Meta AI, Meta has introduced a content series titled 'Elevating Every Moment.' This series aims to educate users about the AI model's key features and help them unlock its full potential.
With a user base exceeding 700 million monthly active users worldwide, Meta AI is available in 42 countries and supports 13 languages.
Moreover, Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg has expressed the company's ongoing pursuit of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). However, Meta recently updated its policy to include the possibility of discontinuing the development of AI models deemed 'too risky.'
