Altman joins a league of tech magnates who are seeking favor with Trump ahead of his term commencement. Meta, the parent company of Facebook led by Mark Zuckerberg, also contributed $1 million to the inauguration fund. Additionally, Amazon unveiled a similar donation, despite its founder Jeff Bezos' historical conflicts with Trump.

This department is tasked with identifying strategies to streamline federal spending. Notably, Musk has been embroiled in a dispute with OpenAI over the organization's shift towards a for-profit model with products like ChatGPT.
