Vietnam PM, Nvidia CEO explore Hanoi, enjoy street food together

After attending the signing ceremony to establish two AI centers in Vietnam, Jensen Huang, alongside Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, visited Ngoc Son Temple by Hanoi’s iconic Hoan Kiem Lake. Ngoc Son Temple, Hanoi, Vietnam Later, at around 10 p.m., they headed to Ta Hien Street, a popular spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy affordable drinks, especially fresh beer, and a variety of street food.

Enjoying Local Delights

The Nvidia founder, dressed in his signature casual style of a T-shirt and black jeans, walked along Ta Hien Street, cheering and waving in response to the warm greetings from locals. This is not the first time Huang has visited Hanoi’s street food venues. Friendship and Recognition

The presence of PM Pham Minh Chinh alongside the Nvidia founder drew the attention of many locals and tourists. The two men were friendly, shaking hands, chatting, and posing for photos with people. Huang’s visit this year is considered significant for both Vietnam and Nvidia.

Appreciation for Vietnam

In a previous speech, Nvidia’s founder remarked that Vietnam has a "rich culture, beautiful people, and wonderful food," and expressed his belief that the country will continue to be recognized for its "advanced technology" in the future. He happily signed autographs for his fans during his visit.

Building Relationships

Earlier, at the signing ceremony for the AI center, Huang thanked Vietnam for the warm welcome and said he would make the country Nvidia’s second home. "Today marks our beginning, so welcome to the party," he said.

From Graphic Processing to AI Dominance

Jensen Huang, born in 1963, currently holds a fortune of over US$126 billion, most of it from his stake in Nvidia, the world’s leading AI chip company. He co-founded Nvidia in 1993, initially focusing on graphic processing and gaming. However, the company later harnessed its processing power for a wide range of fields, including AI. Since the AI boom in 2022, demand for Nvidia’s chips has skyrocketed, propelling the company’s market value above $3.5 trillion and placing it in constant competition with Apple for the title of the world’s most valuable company.
