ChatGPT Releases Paper on Jobs AI Will Replace

The research paper suggests that 80% of jobs in the United States will be exposed to GPT, meaning that there is a likelihood that a company or business may use GPT to perform 50% of the task that a human can do. The paper also notes that most occupations that require science and critical thinking skills are less likely to be impacted by GPT. However, jobs that require writing and programming have a higher exposure which means that occupations that need these two skills can rely on GPT to perform 50% of tasks done by a human.
The paper finds that employees with college, bachelor, and master's degrees are more exposed to GPT than those with informal education. However, jobs that require long training are less exposed. The research paper has provided a list of jobs with the highest exposure percentage.

The research paper has indicated that most jobs that involve manual labor like equipment operators, cooks, brick masons, mechanics, and tire repairers among others are not likely to be replaced with AI. Blue-collar jobs like construction workers, automotive technicians, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, welders, firefighters, painters, police officers, etc. should be less worried about GPT taking away their jobs.
