InfoComm attendance set post-Covid record with 3% rise InfoComm ...
This year’s verified attendance of 30,271 was 3% higher than 2023, and 54% higher than 2022, but registrations remain 16% below the 2019 pre-Covid peak.
InfoComm 2024 welcomed a post-Covid record 30,271 verified attendees, organiser AVIXA announced at the end of the show today. This year’s total was a 3% increase on the 29,325 verified attendees recorded in Industry events, US&Canada last year and a 54% increase on the 19,681 last seen in Las Vegas in 2022.
Attendee Breakdown
The attendance of 30,271 represents an even steeper increase on the 7,335 seen in 2021, when Covid travel and health restrictions were in place, and the zero recorded in 2020 when the show had to be cancelled. Verified attendee figures for the last pre-pandemic show in 2019 are not available, but this year's total registrants number of 36,967 is still 16% below the 44,219 seen in 2019.
At this year's show, visitors came from 125 countries, with international visitors making up 23% of the total. Among non-exhibitor attendees, 71% were from the pro AV channel and 29% were end users. The show also hosted 833 exhibitors across 38,000 sq metres of exhibition space in the West and Central Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Keynote Speeches and Events
Notable among the show's wide-ranging programme of education, networking events, and installation tours was An Evening at Sphere, organised by AVIXA on the evening before InfoComm opened, which attracted 2,600 pro AV visitors. A keynote speech on AI by QSC | Q-SYS chairman and CEO Joe Pham attracted 600 attendees.
A second keynote speech by Danielle Feinberg, visual effects supervisor at Pixar Animation Studios, delivered at the 10th annual AVIXA Women's breakfast, drew a crowd of more than 350. The show also hosted the second in-person edition of Congreso AVIXA, presented in Spanish, while a Latin American reception welcomed more than 300 attendees.
CTS Qualifications and AVA AI
A total of 171 AV professionals earned their CTS qualification at the show – 104 earned their CTS, 28 attained CTS-D (Design), and 31 attained CTS-I (Installation). These numbers put CTS holders over the 14,000 mark for the first time. AVIXA also debuted AVA AI, powered by Open AI, at InfoComm to help attendees navigate the show floor, education sessions, events, transportation, and more.
