Gemini Adds Share Camera or Screen with Gemini Live for iOS and Much More!
Google recently announced significant upgrades for their popular Gemini AI app. The new Gemini assistant is now available on all Google platforms, including Android OS, Wear OS, Android TV OS, Android Auto, and the newly launched Android XR, which is the new software for smart glasses.
Gemini has introduced two highly anticipated features, which are Share Camera with Gemini Live and Share Screen with Gemini Live. The new Google Gemini 1.0.75 app update has also enhanced its capabilities by incorporating more sophisticated models like Gemini 2.5 Flash, 2.5 Pro (experimental), Deep Research, and Personalization preview.
Gemini Live Feature Expansion
The long-awaited arrival of Google's Gemini AI on iOS is finally happening. iPhone users have been eagerly anticipating access to Google's powerful Gemini Live feature. Reports from various users confirm that Gemini is now live on iOS, allowing users to explore its offerings on iPhones.
Gemini, previously known as Bard, is Google's flagship generative AI platform. It serves as a multimodal assistant, handling voice, text, and image inputs. It can perform various tasks such as summarizing content, interpreting visuals, answering questions, assisting with creative writing, and identifying unique visual elements.
Gemini Live on iOS
One of the standout features of Gemini is the Gemini Live feature, which enables users to have human-like conversations with AI using natural language. Initially available only on the web or Android platforms, the transition of Gemini Live to iOS brings Google's AI directly into Apple's ecosystem, positioning it against services like Siri.
Although Gemini is not yet available in all regions or accounts, users in regions such as the United States, Canada, Asia, and Australia have started accessing it. The global release of Gemini Live appears to be gradual and region-specific.
Share Camera and Share Screen
Gemini Live on iOS now includes the Share Camera and Share Screen features, allowing users to interact with AI using what's on their screen. Android users have also received the Share Screen feature. It's worth noting that Share Camera with Gemini Live may currently be limited to Google Pixel devices.
