Gemini prompts now let you upload multiple images
A recent update to the Gemini app has introduced a significant quality-of-life enhancement, allowing users to upload multiple images per prompt on various platforms including Android, iOS, and the web. Previously, users were limited to uploading just one image with each prompt, resulting in a cumbersome experience if multiple images needed to be attached.
With this new update, users can now upload up to 10 images per prompt, streamlining the process and making it more efficient. On Android and iOS devices, users can utilize the system gallery pickers to select multiple photos, up to the newly-implemented limit of 10 images. This functionality also extends to Gemini’s built-in Camera feature, enabling users to capture images directly within the app.
It is important to note that if this feature is not immediately visible after the update, users are advised to force stop the mobile app and relaunch it to enable the enhanced image uploading capabilities.
On gemini.google.com, users are restricted to uploading a maximum of 10 images per prompt, as indicated by the warning message: “Some of your files could not be uploaded because you can only upload 10 attachments at a time.” This limitation applies across all current Gemini models, including 2.0 Flash, 2.5 Flash, and 2.5 Pro.
Wide Rollout Announcement
Josh Woodward, the lead of Gemini, has officially announced the wide rollout of this feature. He encourages users to provide feedback and suggestions by submitting the “most common things that cause grumpiness” or any other issues they may encounter while using the app.
