Google's Gemini AI Now Remembers Past Chats for More Personalized Responses
Google’s Gemini AI assistant is now equipped with a new recall feature for Gemini Advanced subscribers who are part of the Google One AI Premium plan. This latest update allows Gemini to recall past conversations, resulting in smoother interactions without the need to repeat information or search through previous chats.
Aside from just remembering earlier discussions, Gemini can also provide summaries of past chats and contribute to ongoing projects. While Google had previously introduced basic memory capabilities for user preferences, this new feature takes it a step further by enabling the AI to reference previous exchanges for more contextually aware responses.

Full Control Over Chat History
Users have complete control over their chat history and can easily review, delete, or manage stored conversations at any time. This can be done by simply tapping their profile picture in the Gemini app and selecting “Gemini Apps Activity.”
Rolling Out Gradually
The recall feature is currently being rolled out to English-speaking users on Gemini’s web and mobile applications. Google also has plans to expand this feature to additional languages and intends to introduce it to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise users in the near future.

On a similar note, OpenAI’s ChatGPT also offers a comparable memory function, allowing it to remember user preferences and past interactions.
