Google Takes On Windows PCs With Its AI-Focused Chromebooks
Google is expanding its AI technology to its Chromebook Plus models, bringing Gemini AI to the ChromeOS powered machines. This move by Google is aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Chromebooks and competing with Windows 11, which features the ChatGPT-powered Copilot AI tech.
The new Chromebook Plus lineup from brands like Acer, HP, and Asus will come with AI features out of the box, providing users with access to Gemini chatbot. Additionally, existing Chromebook models will also receive the update to incorporate the new AI capabilities.
Customers purchasing the Chromebook Plus models will receive a one-year subscription to the Google One AI Premium plan, which includes 2TB of storage and integration of Gemini AI in apps such as Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Gmail. This plan, which typically costs Rs 1900 per month, aims to enhance user experience and productivity.
