i-PRO expands Aero PTZ line with 19 weatherproof models
i-PRO has recently announced the expansion of its Aero PTZ camera line with the introduction of 19 new models. These new models have been specifically designed to withstand extreme weather conditions while also incorporating advanced edge AI analytics capabilities.
The newly introduced Aero PTZ models are equipped to support resolutions of up to 4K and feature integrated AI-driven analytics. This includes advanced auto-tracking functionality that ensures clarity and precise data collection across a variety of environments.
Advanced AI Capabilities
Gerard Figols, Chief Product Officer at i-PRO, highlighted the significance of the combination of extreme weather resistance and advanced AI-based analytics in the new Aero PTZ line. He emphasized how features like advanced auto-tracking set these cameras apart, ensuring clear visibility and accurate data capture regardless of the environmental conditions.
Figols further explained that the Aero PTZ line now incorporates edge computing technology, aligning with the company's goal of making AI technology more accessible. This integration enhances the cameras' reliability and analytical power, making them ideal for securing mission-critical environments even in the face of extreme conditions like hurricanes and cyclones.
Durability and Performance
The durability of the Aero PTZ cameras is a standout feature, with the ability to operate in temperatures ranging from -50°C to 65°C and resist shocks, water, and salt corrosion. These cameras are rated IK10, MIL-STD-167-1A, and IP66/68, ensuring uninterrupted video surveillance even in adverse weather conditions.
With a zoom range of up to 40x and the ability to withstand winds up to 270 km/h, the Aero PTZ cameras exceed the requirements for category-five cyclone and hurricane conditions. The inclusion of a transparent glass heater further enhances their performance in challenging environments.
AI-Based Auto-Tracking
The Aero PTZ cameras feature AI-based auto-tracking technology that allows them to focus on individuals and vehicles even in complete darkness. With an IR illumination range of 560 meters, these cameras offer the longest nighttime IR illumination in the industry. Additionally, white-light illumination can be activated to deter intruders and preserve color information when needed.
Customisation and Flexibility
The product line supports i-PRO's open AI development platform, enabling the installation of up to three simultaneous AI applications on the 4K models and two on the 2MP models. This flexibility allows for customization based on specific operational needs, such as utilizing Vaxtor OCR applications for port container number recognition and Noema detection apps for fire and smoke identification.
Enhanced Cybersecurity and Installation
The Aero PTZ cameras prioritize cybersecurity with features like signed firmware, brute-force protection, and compliance with FIPS 140-2 level 3 standards. A secure element chip is also integrated to safeguard against cyber threats.
Installation of the cameras is designed to be user-friendly, with easy kitting, cable connectors, and a newly designed mount bracket that simplifies setup by a single individual. The cameras support flexible power options, accommodating both 100-240V AC and 24V AC/DC.
Versatility and Availability
The Aero PTZ cameras are offered in various resolutions and illumination types to meet diverse operational requirements. They also comply with industry standards like NEMA TS2, MIL STD-810-G, IEC 62236-4, and EN 50121-4.
These new models will be available for order starting December 2024 through i-PRO's global network of resellers.
