Saudi Arabia is rapidly emerging as a global AI powerhouse
Saudi Arabia is quickly establishing itself as a dominant force in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), propelled by a series of groundbreaking collaborations and investments led by HUMAIN, a subsidiary of the Kingdom’s Public Investment Fund.
Partnership with NVIDIA
In a significant move, HUMAIN announced a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to develop AI factories equipped with 18,000 Grace Blackwell GB300 chips, marking the largest deployment of its kind. Over the next five years, the collaboration aims to expand to hundreds of thousands of GPUs across data centers, harnessing 500 megawatts of compute power.

Endorsements from Industry Leaders
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Together with HUMAIN, we are building AI infrastructure for the people and companies of Saudi Arabia to realize the bold vision of the Kingdom.” Saudi Arabia’s ICT Minister, Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, hailed the collaboration as a significant milestone in advancing AI capabilities.
Collaboration with AMD
Additionally, AMD has joined forces with HUMAIN to co-create what they describe as the world’s most accessible and scalable AI infrastructure, with a planned investment of $10 billion. AMD CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, emphasized the importance of the collaboration in advancing global AI infrastructure.

Continued Investment in AI
The momentum towards AI excellence in Saudi Arabia continues, with AWS committing over $5 billion to establish an “AI Zone” in the Kingdom, featuring cutting-edge networks and services. Oracle has also pledged $14 billion towards expanding AI and cloud innovation, while Groq, a prominent U.S. chipmaker, has been selected by HUMAIN to oversee inference operations. Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, summarized the collective efforts by stating, “We are building a new globally enabled community with enhanced capacity and capabilities.”
Shaping the Future of AI
With a focus on hyperscale compute, open AI stacks, and ambitions for physical AI, Saudi Arabia’s AI ecosystem is not just about infrastructure but also about fostering sovereign intelligence networks. The future landscape of AI extends beyond mere models; it envisions nations transitioning towards becoming AI-native entities.
