This session covers the essentials: how AI can help save time and streamline tasks and the risks, like “Shadow AI”—AI operating within organizations without oversight. We’ll explore why data privacy, transparency, and trust are more critical than ever and provide practical guidance on steps you can implement to shore up organizational resilience and integrity.

This is a strategic-level seminar for leaders of community groups and not-for-profits. No tech experience is needed, and no lower-level tuition will be given. Please bring an open mind.

This session is offered by AwhiWorld FREE as part of our self-funded AI Literacy Northland initiative (Strange Intelligences Lab). It is a chance to understand and navigate AI’s role in our sector. Let’s ensure our organizations stay informed and safe. We offer AI training, coaching, and consulting services, including targeted courses for Not-for-Profits, community groups, and civic professionals.

Power, Rank, and Deep Democracy

Twenty-four years ago (at the turn of the century), I attended a series of trainings and intensives in Process Work, a philosophy, therapeutic movement, and framework created by Arnold Mindell (and then developed by many others worldwide). This framework was the first that affirmed my worldview, and it has significantly influenced...

Trickster figures in fairytales and myths have always fascinated me with their ability to navigate and manipulate the boundaries of social norms and reality. They are the shape-shifters, the boundary-crossers, and the agents of chaos and change. AI, in many ways, mirrors these characteristics, acting as a modern-day trickster technology. In this post, I explore...

An ever-widening chasm exists between how fast we adopt AI and the infrastructure needed to support our digital world. As our reliance on AI and technology grows, so do the risks of power outages. This growing dependency creates significant challenges. While some businesses and households can afford to protect themselves, most people will be part...

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing our world faster than ever, and people react differently. These four AI attitudes can be grouped into Avoidance, Arrogance, Addiction, and Awe.
