Google Releases Full-Screen Gemini App for iPad
Google recently introduced a new full-screen, optimized Gemini app for the iPad, addressing concerns raised by users. The updated app now leverages the entire iPad display in both landscape and portrait modes, providing a similar experience to that on Android tablets and the Gemini website.

One of the key improvements in the latest version of the app is the enhanced layout, allowing users to read chats in a more spacious environment. Additionally, the app now supports Split View multitasking, enabling users to utilize Gemini alongside other apps simultaneously. As reported by 9to5Google, this update aims to enhance user experience and productivity.
Home Screen Widget and Google Photos Integration
Moreover, the new release introduces Gemini as a home screen widget, enabling users to quickly access its tools directly from the iPad's home screen. Another notable feature is the integration with Google Photos, allowing users to ask questions about their images and search for photos seamlessly.

Google has also expanded Gemini’s Audio Overviews to support more languages. Initially launched in English in March, Audio Overviews are now available in over 45 languages globally. This feature provides users with a podcast-style discussion about the files they upload and Deep Research reports, using two AI voices. The Audio Overviews option is accessible through both Gemini and NotebookLM.
Availability and Version Details
The updated Gemini app for iPad is now available on the App Store as version 1.2025.1770102, offering users an enhanced experience and improved functionality.
