In a screenshot shared by Android Authority, the Clock Tool extension is visible in the list of existing Gemini extensions. Users can summon this feature by either verbally calling it out or typing '@Clock Tool' followed by the desired request. The AI chatbot then takes over from Google Assistant to execute the specified action, as depicted in the screenshot.

According to a report by Android Authority, the new Clock Tool extension will empower Gemini on Android to perform tasks like setting alarms and timers based on user commands. The feature was discovered during an app teardown process, with the latest beta version of the Google app (version 15.27.33) unveiling this upcoming functionality.
Lock Screen Capability and Other Enhancements
Alongside the Clock Tool extension, Gemini on Android also offers extensions like Google Flights, Google Hotels, Google Maps, Workspace, YouTube, and YouTube Music. Moreover, a new setting has been discovered that will enable users to access the AI chatbot even when the device is locked, allowing quick interactions or queries on the go.
Despite these advancements, Gemini may not be able to handle tasks requiring confidential information or credentials.
