WhatsApp for Android Will Reportedly Let Users Choose Public Figures for Meta AI Voice Mode
WhatsApp for Android is set to introduce a new feature that will allow users to select public figures for the Meta AI voice mode. This feature will enhance the two-way voice chat functionality of the in-app artificial intelligence chatbot.

According to a recent report, users will have the option to customize their voice chat experience by choosing from multiple celebrity voices. The Meta AI voice mode will also include voices from the US and UK, offering a more personalized interaction with the chatbot.
Celebrity Voices Integration
The upcoming feature was discovered in WhatsApp's Android beta version 2.24.19.32 by the WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo. Although currently hidden from users enrolled in the Google Beta program, the integration of celebrity voices is expected to provide users with a human-like interaction experience.
The voice options for Meta AI will vary in pitch, tonality, and accent, adding a unique touch to the voice chat feature. Similar to ChatGPT's voice modes, which offer four different voices, WhatsApp's new feature will include three British-accented voices, two American-accented voices, and four celebrity voices.
Extension of Meta's AI Chatbot Project
Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, has a history of launching custom AI chatbots for Messenger based on influencers, celebrities, and public figures. The introduction of celebrity voices to the Meta AI voice mode is expected to build on this project and may also extend to AI characters.
