In the second quarter of 2024, global spending on cloud infrastructure services experienced a significant 19% year-on-year growth, amounting to a total of US$78.2 billion. The top three vendors in the cloud infrastructure market, namely AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, collectively expanded by 24% in this quarter, commanding a 63% share of the total expenditure. AWS, in particular, demonstrated remarkable growth compared to the previous quarter, with a 19% increase in sales. Meanwhile, both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud sustained robust double-digit growth rates of 29% and 30% respectively.
