NOW INFLUENCERS CAN CREATE AI VERSIONS OF THEMSELVES ON INSTAGRAM
Meta is expanding its AI Studio to the U.S., giving creators and Instagram users the opportunity to develop their own AI characters. This new tool allows users with a creator account on Instagram to craft personalized AI bots that serve as an extension of themselves. These AI characters are designed to respond to frequently asked questions, provide direct links to featured clothing items, past videos, and share interesting facts about the creators. Additionally, creators can customize their AI bots with preferred topics and areas to avoid.
For users with personal accounts, there is also an option to create more simplified AI characters. These characters can offer assistance with cooking tips, suggesting Instagram captions, and even generating memes. The AI creations can be built directly on Instagram or within Meta's AI Studio platform, and then utilized on Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
Meta's Focus on AI
This effort by Meta is in line with their broader strategy to prioritize Artificial Intelligence. Meta's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, has expressed his confidence in the company's potential to become a dominant force in the AI industry. Previously emphasizing AI as a means to enhance their social media offerings, Zuckerberg now envisions Meta as a leading AI company globally. He stated, "We’re not just building good AI models for social and commerce products. We are aiming to be the forefront of the AI industry."
An earlier initiative by Meta introduced Meta AI, an intelligent assistant capable of answering queries, providing suggestions, and transforming static images into animations. This AI tool is accessible across Meta's platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.
