Woman seeks divorce after ChatGPT interprets coffee grounds...
A Greek woman has initiated divorce proceedings, citing revelations from ChatGPT regarding her husband's alleged infidelity as interpreted through patterns in coffee cups. The woman, as reported by Greek City Times, engaged with the AI chatbot to modernize tasseography, an ancient practice of predicting the future by interpreting coffee grounds. With over 12 years of marriage and two children, she provided images of coffee residuals from both her cup and her husband's cup to ChatGPT for analysis.

The AI's analysis took her by surprise, indicating that her husband may be romantically involved with a younger woman who is intent on breaking up their family. Furthermore, it hinted that his supposed "soulmate" had a name starting with the letter "E," while her own reading suggested betrayal and domestic disturbances.
Legal Response
Her husband, speaking to a local television station, dismissed the accusations as unfounded, stating, “I initially brushed it off as absurd. However, she viewed it seriously, asking me to leave, informing our children of an impending divorce, and subsequently involving a lawyer. It was then that I realized this was not a passing phase.” Refusing any notion of amicable separation, the woman served him with formal divorce papers within three days.
The man further alleged that his wife has a history of embracing mystical beliefs, citing a previous instance where she adhered to an astrologer's guidance for almost a year. His legal counsel stressed that AI interpretations do not carry legal validity, emphasizing his innocence until proven otherwise.

Social and Legal Implications
While this unusual incident has ignited extensive debates on Greek social media platforms, legal experts have underscored that AI-generated prophecies are inadmissible as legal evidence in court.
