Resolution in Progress
According to OpenAI’s status page, users encountered “Elevated Errors on some API models,” which has been identified and is being gradually resolved. OpenAI confirmed, “We have identified the root cause and we’re actively working on a fix.”
User Impact and Continuation
The outage was first reported earlier today on Downdetector.com, with disruptions continuing for several hours. Around 78% of users reported experiencing problems accessing ChatGPT, while 17% had trouble with the ChatGPT website, and the remainder faced issues with the app.

Assurance from OpenAI
OpenAI has assured users that they are actively addressing the situation to bring everything back to normal as soon as possible.
