Founder, Alexandr Wang, Joins Meta to Work on AI Efforts | Scale
Scale AI, Inc. (“Scale” or the “Company”), the humanity-first AI company, has announced a significant new investment from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Nasdaq: META) on June 12, 2025. This investment values Scale at over $29 billion and aims to accelerate the deployment of Scale’s data solutions through an expanded commercial relationship with Meta Platforms.
As part of this collaboration, Scale’s founder, Alexandr Wang, is joining Meta to work on Meta’s AI efforts while still serving as a director on the Scale Board of Directors. This move reflects both companies' commitment to unlocking the power of AI while prioritizing human values in the development process.
Leadership Update
In light of these developments, Scale’s Board of Directors has appointed Chief Strategy Officer, Jason Droege, as the Company’s Interim Chief Executive Officer. Droege brings over 20 years of experience in building and leading technology companies such as Uber Eats and Axon. His leadership at Scale has been integral to the growth of AI labs and collaboration with enterprise customers.
