As part of the multibillion-dollar partnership spanning three years, the two tech giants aim to develop innovative industry solutions that will bring about transformative results for businesses and society at large.
Integration of Technologies
Hitachi, the renowned Japanese electronics company, plans to integrate Microsoft's cutting-edge solutions, including the Azure Open AI Service on its internet of things platform, Lumada. This amalgamation of technologies is set to revolutionize business processes and drive enhanced efficiency. 
Application in Hitachi Operations
Within Hitachi itself, the technology will be deployed to enhance productivity, with a specific focus on its British subsidiary, Hitachi Rail Ltd. Here, generative AI will be leveraged for device monitoring, offering real-time insights and predictive capabilities.
Advanced AI Training
Another key aspect of the collaboration involves Hitachi's initiative to upskill over 50,000 professionals in the field of advanced AI, utilizing Microsoft's suite of services and resources.
