LinkedIn Cofounder's New AI Startup Launches ChatGPT-Like Chatbot
Inflection AI, a new AI startup founded by Mustafa Suleyman, a former Deepmind researcher, and Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, has launched its first AI chatbot, called Pi. Similar to the popular chatbot ChatGPT, Pi engages in dialogues with users where they can ask questions and discuss common interests. The chatbot is built on AI technology that prioritizes human interactions with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
According to Suleyman, Pi acts as a digital companion that users can turn to whenever they want to learn something new or talk through a tricky moment in their day. The chatbot is accessible through a variety of channels, including its website, app, and social networking sites like Instagram. Users should note that Pi trains its AI systems using conversational content, including user data.
Since OpenAI's ChatGPT first appeared on the scene in November of last year, chatbots powered by generative AI technology have become popular. Inflection AI is backed by VC firm Greylock, where Hoffman is a partner, and the company recently saw a US$250 million investment.
Inflection's database has not been linked to the internet since November 2022, and the last update was carried out internally. The Pi chatbot is set to offer users a new and engaging way to interact with AI technology and exemplifies Inflection AI's dedication to prioritizing human interaction.
