Which AI assistant app is the best? | What the Tech? - KOB.com
Everyone knows about ChatGPT but it isn’t the only game in town, so how do you know which one to use? There are Microsoft CoPilot, Google Gemini, and Perplexity. I put all four to the test – same questions, different bots, and different answers – to answer the question: Which AI assistant app is the best?
Perplexity: The Source for Citations
When I asked “what are the latest statistics on electric vehicle sales in the U.S?,” Perplexity stood out. It provided a concise answer with clickable links to articles and government data, making it a great choice for those needing sources and citations.

ChatGPT: The Brainstorming Pro
When I asked for “5 ideas for a birthday party for a 10-year-old who loves dinosaurs,” ChatGPT delivered detailed ideas in a friendly and natural tone. It excelled at brainstorming and engaging in conversation.
Google Gemini: The Integrated AI
Google Gemini continuously adds features to its platform, deeply integrated into Gmail and Google Docs. It excels in summarizing email threads, drafting replies, and finding files in Google Drive.

Microsoft CoPilot: For Office Power Users
Microsoft CoPilot proved to be the best choice for Microsoft Office power users. It efficiently analyzed spreadsheets and summarized sales trends by region. Additionally, it provided suggestions for slide titles and PowerPoint presentations along with charts.
It's important to use the right AI assistant for the right job. When considering a subscription, the functionalities of each AI assistant can help you decide which one is worth investing in.
