Studio Ghibli-style images have been gaining popularity worldwide, and the trend shows no signs of slowing down. Recently, ChatGPT introduced its image-generation feature for premium users, offering innovative ways to create Ghibli-style images. The good news is that this feature is now available for free ChatGPT users as well, eliminating the need for a premium subscription to access it.
If you are a ChatGPT free account holder, you can now partake in the Ghibli trend without any additional costs. The feature is gradually being rolled out to all users, allowing everyone to experience the artistic style synonymous with Japan's Studio Ghibli, as seen in popular films like Spirited Away and Grave of the Fireflies. To utilize this feature, users need to leverage ChatGPT's image-generation functionality.
Important Note
The new image-generation model is currently being deployed for free users, so while I personally couldn't access the feature, it was operational on my colleague's account. With a free account, users can generate up to three Ghibli-style images per day. It's worth mentioning that due to "content policy restrictions," there may be occasional challenges in generating images. In such cases, re-prompting the system might yield the desired outcome.
For users with the older model, keep an eye out for the "updated" icon next to the "Create Image" option as an indicator of the upgraded functionality.
