I know what you are thinking: AI and universities sound like a recipe for disaster. And you might not be wrong, especially if AI is misused for writing assignments.
So, you might wonder why I claim that AI helped me become a better student?
Let me explain. You should never ever rely solely on AI, always fact-check and do your homework!
AI, ChatGTP in particular, helps me to summarize my notes and scripts. I have a ChatGPT Plus subscription and upload everything. It is quick and easy to get a summary of a chapter or a lecture. This helps a lot to cut down on the huge amounts of data, making it more manageable.
You could argue that it is always better to process and summarize notes or lectures yourself. And you are not wrong about it, but to distill the essence of a lecture, I prefer to save time with ChatGPT. Studying alongside a full-time job is challenging, and efficiency is key.
