WhatsApp developing Meta AI voice mode with ten

WhatsApp is in the process of developing a new feature that will enable users to select the Meta AI chat mode in various voices. Although this feature is not yet accessible for beta testing, WABetaInfo has reported that the most recent WhatsApp beta update for Android, version 2.24.17.16, includes details regarding the option to choose the Meta AI voice.

This development will enable WhatsApp users to interact with Meta AI in real-time. While the chat mode is still under development, available information suggests that users will have the option to select from ten distinct voices for Meta AI.

Currently, this feature is exclusive to the Android version of the application; however, it is reasonable to anticipate that iOS users will also gain access to the Meta AI chat mode in the future.

It is important to remember that although you may successfully download and install this version of WhatsApp beta on your Android device, its functionality may be limited as it is still in the development phase.

Meta AI Voice Mode Features

According to the screenshots provided by the feature tracker, a new voice icon, depicted as an audio waveform, is now visible adjacent to the text field in the Meta AI chat interface. When selected, this icon seems to activate a bottom sheet displaying "Meta AI" at the top. Centrally located within this sheet is a circular design formed by several bubbles. At the bottom, the phrase "Hi, how can I help" is accompanied by an expanded audio waveform icon, indicating that the AI is in a listening mode.

WhatsApp will add voice chat mode for Meta AI with ten different voices

Additionally, further screenshots suggest that the Meta AI voice mode may offer up to ten distinct voices for users to select. While the specific variations among these voices remain unclear, they may differ in terms of accents, energy levels, or tonal qualities. It is improbable that these voices will support multiple languages.
