About ChatGPT
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by U.S. company OpenAI that uses large language models from a massive dataset of text to engage in human-like conversations, generate different text formats, translate languages, and answer questions comprehensively. The program was launched in 2022.
ChatGPT allows users to interact with the chatting tool much like they could with another human, with the chatbot generating conversational responses to questions or prompts. Proponents believe that ChatGPT could revolutionize online search engines and assist with research, informational writing, content creation, and customer service chatbots.
However, the service has faced controversy, with some critics raising concerns that ChatGPT and similar programs may contribute to online misinformation and enable plagiarism.
