Google Calendar Integration Within Gemini in Gmail Now Live
Google has introduced Google Calendar integration within Gemini in Gmail, allowing users to create new events and access details about existing ones seamlessly. This new integration adds to Gemini's existing capability to connect with other Workspace apps like Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive, enabling users to complete tasks within Gmail itself.

As announced in a Google Workspace Updates post, the Google Calendar integration within Gemini in Gmail is now live. Users can now command Gemini in Gmail to perform calendar-related actions or inquire about their schedules without the need for specific commands such as "@calendar". The assistant seamlessly handles these requests within Google Calendar, allowing users to create new events and retrieve details about existing ones effortlessly.
The integration is currently available for Google Workspace customers with specified add-ons. While the feature comes with certain limitations, Google may enhance these capabilities in the future. Currently, Gemini in Gmail cannot:
